| An Avaya Media Gateway supports both bearer and signalling traffic routed between packet switched and circuit switched networks. Optional form factors are supported. Avaya Communication Manager running on Avaya Media Servers controls voice and signalling over a variety of stackable and modular Media Gateways. The Media Gateways contain the network and endpoint interfaces as well as call classification, announcement boards, etc. Through these interfaces, Avaya Communication Manager performs gateway/gatekeeper functions. |
